36-Week Maternity Portraits on Palm Beach
36-Week Maternity Portraits on Palm Beach
On March 2nd, 2019, Andrew and I finally got the chance to take our maternity portraits on Palm Beach! I was 36 weeks pregnant at the time and, aside from my swollen feet, it was still a great time to take our final maternity portraits! I was mainly thrilled that I still fit into this dress! It was the same one I wore for our 5-year anniversary portraits in Fort Myers when we were just 3 weeks pregnant but had no idea at the time! I thought it would be fun to take our last maternity photos in the same dress, this time on the east coast!
My sweet mom, Maritza, captured these photos for us, and they came out just great! My first photography teacher was my mom, and it's such a blessing to still be in front of her camera! Thank you so much for these stunning photos, mom!
We feel so blessed to be in the final stretch of this pregnancy! There were so many days I prayed to reach this point, growing a healthy, full-term baby. It's surreal still somedays that we are almost there! We’re thanking God daily for the biggest blessing soon to arrive!
Pregnancy Update
I am currently 37 weeks pregnant (38 tomorrow!!) and am now considered full-term! I can't believe we are in the final weeks! There have been many times this pregnancy has gone by extremely slowly, but it’s crazy to think I can potentially be holding my baby girl in a few weeks! We are beyond excited, and we truly cannot wait for this new season to begin!
Overall, I am doing great! Baby is healthy and growing! Aside from swollen feet, heartburn, nausea and random pains, I'm feeling good. Sleep hasn't been easy lately, but my energy has finally increased, and nesting is in full swing!Aside from a few house projects still left to finish, we are pretty much ready for baby! Her sweet bed is setup right next to my side of the bed, and I just can't wait to see her in it! Her clothes are washed, the hospital bag is pretty much packed, and the meal prepping has begun! We’re feeling good about where we are at, and if she were to come any day now, I would be good with it.Maternity leave is about to start! We will be taking a break from portrait sessions from mid-March until the end of May. We will be back to documenting weddings in the late Summer. Emailing will be limited over the next few months, but I plan to still check emails when possible. We are looking forward to this season of getting to know our new little one and have some quality time to recover. Thank you in advance for understanding!
Since this gorgeous pink tree in Worth Avenue was in full bloom, we decided to start with a few shots there! So glad we did! I love the luck I've had finding pink trees for my maternity sessions! :)

Then we headed to the North end of Palm Beach for some simple sunset beach maternity portraits!

Funny story:
While we were taking these photos a couple approached us to congratulate us on our marriage! They asked, if we had just got married and I immediately said "Nope! Been married for quite a while now" as I smiles and tried to show off my bump even more! They then realized the bump and congratulated us on that!
I'm still shocked at how many people are surprised when I say I'm pregnant! Still till this day I've only been openly noticed as pregnant three times.

Emily's Palm Beach Maternity Portraits
Palm Beach Maternity Portraits
On January, 22nd 2019, I had the pleasure of capturing my dear friend's Palm Beach maternity portraits. Emily was 34 weeks pregnant at the time, and it was her birthday! So we celebrated with breezy maternity photos on Palm Beach! After a few shots, her son, Owen, joined us for a few sweet mommy and son portraits! These came out too cute!

Amber & Curtis | Riverside Park Engagement in Vero Beach, FL
Riverside Park Engagement in Vero Beach, FL
On January 20th, 2019, Andrew and I had the pleasure of capturing Curtis and Amber's Riverside Park engagement in Vero Beach, Florida. Amber is Andrew's little sister and lives in Virginia. She was in Florida for Marissa and Cal's wedding, so we decided to do their engagement photos the following day in Vero Beach!
They chose a gorgeous park in Vero Beach called Riverside Park. There was tons of gorgeous spanish moss hanging from tall, shady trees. It was a cool, breezy day, and the lighting was perfect!
These two are so sweet and so in love! We can't wait to be a part of their wedding day in May! Congratulations Amber and Curtis! We are so happy for you both!

Marissa + Calvin | Dreamy Wedding at Capernaum Lakeside Lodge
Dreamy Wedding at Capernaum Lakeside Lodge & Lake Eva Event Center
On January, 19th 2019, Andrew and I had the honor of documenting Marissa and Calvin's dreamy wedding at Capernaum Lakeside Lodge and Lake Eva Event Center in Lake Wales, Florida. Their wedding day was nothing but magical. A breathtaking venue and the most precious couple made this day perfect.
I have known Marissa since she was a little girl. Our families had gone to the same church for years. When Marissa asked us to document her big day, we couldn't have been more thrilled! Part of me couldn't believe that little Marissa was already getting married, but from the moment I met with Marissa and Cal and saw the beaming smile on her face as she told me all her plans, I knew she had met the man of her dreams!
Their wedding was the last wedding on our calendar before our little one is born! I was 30 weeks, and it was the best wedding to finish out this year's wedding season! So many of our friends and family attend and were a part of their wedding, making it one of the best weddings we have ever been a part of!
The Love Story
Cal and Marissa met in their first semesters at Warner University, Cal was a transfer and Marissa was a freshman. They quickly became friends and Marissa was actually trying to help set him up with her roommate at the time. She began to notice his texts were getting more flirty, and he was asking to hang out a lot. She never made any moves because of her roommate, but once she told her that she liked someone else, Cal asked her out.
They started dating January 23, 2016. He told her a few months into dating that she was the girl he was going to marry, and she told him they needed to date for a little longer. Plus she didn't want to get married until after she graduated college.
Cal kept telling her he was not going to propose until after his graduation in May, because he wanted to make sure he had a job. Well, he lied. He told her they were going to go to Disney with his family after his baseball game on February 17, 2018. Marissa didn't suspect a thing, because they had gone many times before. So his family came to watch his games, and her parents were there too because she had a volleyball game earlier that morning.
As they were at the baseball game, Marissa was told her parents were going to join them for brunch on Sunday morning and go to Disney too. Then she was a little suspicious but remembered that her parents had just bought tickets to use for their anniversary, so she talked herself out of the idea of the proposal.
They spent the night with his family in the hotel, and on Sunday morning, when they were getting ready for brunch, Cal told Marissa she had to wear a dress, and he was in nice clothes because it was brunch. Both of their families were also dressing nice to make it believable. When they arrived at the Grand Floridian, Cal's dad went by the desk and came back, saying they were running behind, so they should go take pictures while they waited. This, of course, was a normal thing for their families to do. His dad told them to go first. When she turned around, everyone had their cameras out. Her heart started to beat so fast.
Cal turned her toward him and told her he had two presents for her and said, "It's not a ring, so don't worry." Her first thoughts now were how it was super awkward, since everyone was watching. He pulled out a box and had her open it. It was filled with notes he had been writing for her every day for the past school year. Then he pulled out the ring box and got down on one knee. He said, "I love you and always will. Will you marry me?" Marissa said, "Absolutely! Yes!" It was so nice that he arranged both of their families to be there to make it more special. He even had her brother and two of their friends in the bushes hiding, and one was taking pictures for them!
Special Thanks
Marissa and Cal, thank you so much for choosing Andrew and I to document your gorgeous wedding day! We had such a wonderful time being a part of it!
