On May 31st, 2019, I had the honor of capturing some intimate Palm Beach Wedding Portraits for Daylis and Adrian. They said “I do” earlier that day at the West Palm Beach courthouse, and we met up after for their bridal portrait session! It was a gorgeous day with perfect weather. Joy was radiating from their smiles. Love was in the air!
These two have been together for nearly 10 years! A few years ago, Adrian ask Daylis’ father for her hand. He said yes, but with one condition: Daylis had to finish her higher education goals first. On May 29th, she achieved that goal and became Dr. Sardina! Two days later, she became a Mrs. As Daylis’ second cousin, I have witnessed their persistence and dedication. I am so proud of them and everything they have built so far!
Daylis & Adrian, thank you for allowing me the honor of documenting your love story! I hope this next chapter of your life together is even sweeter! Andrew and I wish you all the best! We hope you enjoy these portraits for many years to come!

Dreamy Wedding at Capernaum Lakeside Lodge & Lake Eva Event Center
On January, 19th 2019, Andrew and I had the honor of documenting Marissa and Calvin’s dreamy wedding at Capernaum Lakeside Lodge and Lake Eva Event Center in Lake Wales, Florida. Their wedding day was nothing but magical. A breathtaking venue and the most precious couple made this day perfect.
I have known Marissa since she was a little girl. Our families had gone to the same church for years. When Marissa asked us to document her big day, we couldn’t have been more thrilled! Part of me couldn’t believe that little Marissa was already getting married, but from the moment I met with Marissa and Cal and saw the beaming smile on her face as she told me all her plans, I knew she had met the man of her dreams!
Their wedding was the last wedding on our calendar before our little one is born! I was 30 weeks, and it was the best wedding to finish out this year’s wedding season! So many of our friends and family attend and were a part of their wedding, making it one of the best weddings we have ever been a part of!
The Love Story
Cal and Marissa met in their first semesters at Warner University, Cal was a transfer and Marissa was a freshman. They quickly became friends and Marissa was actually trying to help set him up with her roommate at the time. She began to notice his texts were getting more flirty, and he was asking to hang out a lot. She never made any moves because of her roommate, but once she told her that she liked someone else, Cal asked her out.
They started dating January 23, 2016. He told her a few months into dating that she was the girl he was going to marry, and she told him they needed to date for a little longer. Plus she didn’t want to get married until after she graduated college.
Cal kept telling her he was not going to propose until after his graduation in May, because he wanted to make sure he had a job. Well, he lied. He told her they were going to go to Disney with his family after his baseball game on February 17, 2018. Marissa didn’t suspect a thing, because they had gone many times before. So his family came to watch his games, and her parents were there too because she had a volleyball game earlier that morning.
As they were at the baseball game, Marissa was told her parents were going to join them for brunch on Sunday morning and go to Disney too. Then she was a little suspicious but remembered that her parents had just bought tickets to use for their anniversary, so she talked herself out of the idea of the proposal.
They spent the night with his family in the hotel, and on Sunday morning, when they were getting ready for brunch, Cal told Marissa she had to wear a dress, and he was in nice clothes because it was brunch. Both of their families were also dressing nice to make it believable. When they arrived at the Grand Floridian, Cal’s dad went by the desk and came back, saying they were running behind, so they should go take pictures while they waited. This, of course, was a normal thing for their families to do. His dad told them to go first. When she turned around, everyone had their cameras out. Her heart started to beat so fast.
Cal turned her toward him and told her he had two presents for her and said, “It’s not a ring, so don’t worry.” Her first thoughts now were how it was super awkward, since everyone was watching. He pulled out a box and had her open it. It was filled with notes he had been writing for her every day for the past school year. Then he pulled out the ring box and got down on one knee. He said, “I love you and always will. Will you marry me?” Marissa said, “Absolutely! Yes!” It was so nice that he arranged both of their families to be there to make it more special. He even had her brother and two of their friends in the bushes hiding, and one was taking pictures for them!
Marissa and Cal, thank you so much for choosing Andrew and I to document your gorgeous wedding day! We had such a wonderful time being a part of it! May God continue to bless your lives together, today and for many years to come!

Whimsical Rainy Wedding at the Wyndham Hotel in Boca Raton, Florida
On May 26th, 2018, Andrew and I had the honor of documenting Elisa and Brian’s whimsical rainy wedding day in Boca Raton, Florida. Their day was not like any other wedding day we have ever captured. It was perhaps the sweetest, most joyful day we have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Not even Subtropical Storm Alberto could dampen their joy and excitement!
The initial plan was to say “I do” on the sandy shore of their favorite beach, Red Reef Beach in Boca Raton. But when the forecast called for a very stormy weekend they decided to move the ceremony indoors to the reception location at The Wyndham Hotel Boca Raton. The whole day day was filled with nothing but smiles (Andrew & I included)! Their smiles radiated and lit up the room! So much so that if it wasn’t for the rain drops you would think it was the brightest spring day!
When Brian first saw Elisa on their wedding day, he lit up and the biggest smile graced his face! He held his hand over his mouth in awe—completely wowed by his bride. It was the sweetest moment of the entire day. Brian and Elisa were caught up in the moment that was their wedding day and you could tell nothing would ruin it. This was because their priorities weren’t found in perfect details or the perfect weather, it was already as perfect as it could because they were marrying each other.
This is true love.
THIS is why we do what we do.
The Love Story
Brian and Elisa met where all true love blooms, the oh-so-hip and ever-trendiest salad buffet, Sweet Tomatoes. Elisa was visiting South Florida from Tallahassee, where she was finishing her graduate degree. That day she was having lunch with her new coworkers, which included Brian. Neither Brian nor Elisa remember saying more than a sentence or two to one another that day. However, the following month, during Elisa’s first week on the job, Brian was scheduled to take her along for a day in the field. It was then that they really began to hit it off!
During the following months, their friendship grew as they began to spend more and more time together outside of work. They went to the beach, belted Justin Timberlake songs in the car, and stayed up until 4AM chatting on Facebook. It was obvious to the people who knew them best that they were a match. One night, Elisa mustered up the courage to invite Brian over for dinner. Brian showed up, surprising Elisa with her favorite ice cream and they sat on her patio floor using a moving box as a table.
Elisa confessed her feelings for Brian and waited for his response to which he replied, “the feeling is mutual.” The rest, as they say, is history. On their four-year dating anniversary, Brian and Elisa decided together to take a sunrise-sunset trip, visiting both coasts of Florida in one day. They began by watching the sunrise over Red Reef Beach in Boca Raton and then proceeded to head west to Marco Island. There, they spent the day kayaking through a lagoon, eating old-fashioned ice cream and racing down water slides at their hotel.
They ended the day at Naples Pier where they watched the sunset over the Gulf, attempting to spot some dolphins. Then Brian took Elisa to a private bench overlooking the water and popped the big question as the sun was setting. They celebrated back at the hotel with Broski Cider as well as some Don Perignon and chocolate covered strawberries!
Elisa & Brian, thank you so much for trusting us to document your big day! It was such a honor to witness your wedding day! You both bring out so much joy and love in each other–don’t ever let that go! In life, just like your wedding day, many thing won’t go according to plan and that’s okay.
Choosing to look past all the things that can go wrong and choosing to joyfully love one another is always the best way. In the end, we can’t control the outcome, just how we choose to react. Just like you embodied that concept on your wedding day, remember that five, twenty-five, fifty years from now. Couples like you are why we love what we do! We wish you all the best in this wonderful new season of life!
The day began getting ready at the The Wyndham Hotel Boca Raton. Right before her first look with Brian, I surprised her with a father/daughter first look as she was getting off the elevator! It was such a sweet moment! Then it was time for the first look! These two truly have the BEST smiles! One of my favorites! Then we had a little fun in the rain for about 4.5 seconds. 😉 Such a good looking bridal party! The stunning ladies The handsome men
