West Palm Beach Family Vacation Photos at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island
On March 27th, 2018, Andrew and I had the pleasure of working with the Gier during their vacation to South Florida! This stunning family reached out to us to capture some new family portraits for their time on the beach! We had such a wonderful time capturing and working with this beautiful family!
Their West Palm Beach family vacation portraits were taken at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. It was a gorgeous afternoon, but also a very windy one. Battling the wind was a bit of a challenge, to say the least, but the splashing waves in the background made it all worth it! This family session may very well be a new favorite!
Gier Family, thank you so much for choosing us to document your family vacation memories! It was truly an honor meeting and working with you all! We hope to work with you again!

Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Beach
On Tuesday, August 22nd, Andrew and I had the pleasure of capturing the Chua family’s Singer Island family vacation portraits. They were vacationing on Singer Island all the way from Canada!
Where do I begin with this family? They might have been the sweetest family we have ever worked with! Not only were they always ready for the camera, looking picture perfect, but they also brought us the sweetest gift of organic maple syrup from Canada! How sweet is that!? I seriously love my “job”!
Their session took place at Ocean Reef Beach & Park on a breezy afternoon. The tide was high and the waves were crashing into the rocky shore. It was a gorgeous day to capture photos at this beach.
Chua family, Thank you so much for allowing Andrew and I the pleasure of documenting your South Florida vacation memories! You all were a wonderful to work with and we hope you enjoy your vacation portraits! Thanks again for the delicious maple syrup!
We started by capturing a few quick portraits on the deck that leads to the beach. The light was too dreamy not to! Then we headed to my favorite part of the beach–the coral rock! His smiles were the best. Momma with her kiddos. How cute are they!? Those smiles! Check out the way the waves were crashing against the rocks! One of my favorites! How sweet is this shot!? These crashing waves were just awesome! Another favorite! Our session ended overlooking this dreamy pastel sky!
Chua family, thank you so much again for choosing Crystal Bolin Photography to capture your Singer Island family vacation portraits! We hope to work with you all again!

On July 25th, we had the pleasure of documenting some Singer Island lifestyle family portraits and some senior portraits as well! Half the session was dedicated to family vacation portraits and the other to Alison for her high school senior portraits! Their session took place at Ocean Reef Park and Beach in Singer Island.
Alison’s High-School Senior Portraits
We started the session by capturing Alison’s Singer Island destination senior portraits! The weather was gorgeous and there were just enough clouds to create perfect lighting!
Alison wore a gorgeous black dress that really stood out against the pastel background.
Then we just changed views and this is what happened… Magic! These were my favorite shots from her session! Then we captured a few more by the water! How gorgeous is this scene!?!
Family Beach Portraits
Then it was time for some Singer Island lifestyle family portraits! They are such a great family and it was such a pleasure working with them!
We started on the upper deck before heading down to the beach! Then we got our toes in the sand for a few dreamy golden-hour family portraits! Ocean Reef Beach never disappoints! Just a few more portraits of mom and dad! Some of my favorites! Just because candids are my favorite. When I asked them to pause and look at me, this is what I got… 🙂 Fun photo to end their fun session!

South Florida Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island
On Tuesday, July 18th, 2017, we had the pleasure of capturing some family portraits of the Parks family while vacationing in South Florida! Their South Florida family vacation portraits took place on a bit of a stormy day at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. The Weather Channel said there would be clear skies but storm clouds were definitely coming. This weather, however, made for some amazing beach photos! The light was incredible and this may be my favorite family portrait shoot to date!
We started our session with a few portraits on the boardwalk that leads to Ocean Reef Beach. Then we walked down to the beach for a few more portraits in this rustic beach scene. How cute is he!? Walks on the beach with mommy and daddy.
So much love! One of my favorites! Those curls and that smile. Such a cutie pie. Because riding on daddy shoulders is the best. Another plus of having a portrait session on a stormy week day… the beach was completely empty! Then we captured a few more family portraits by the coral rocks on Ocean Reef Beach! This is my favorite part of this beach! Discovering the beach. Experiencing feet sinking in the sand! The best option to get your foot out of the sand? Sit in the wet sand and pull it out! 😉“Mommy, what is this stuff and why won’t it come off?” He didn’t want to let go of mommy! Because mommy and daddy always deserve a few portraits of just them together! Ocean Reef Beach was absolutely gorgeous this day! Snuggles with mommy! Laughing with daddy! We ended our session with giggles and smiles!

Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island
On Friday, July 14th, we had the pleasure of capturing some vacation portraits for a darling family! Their session took place at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. Part of the family lives in Texas and the other in Ohio but they decided to meet in South Florida to share a family vacation! They stayed at the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa which is actually right next door to Ocean Reef Park! We had a wonderful time working with this family and we hope you enjoy their tropical South Florida portrait session!
First, we started with some portraits on the deck before heading to the beach! Grandparents with their five grandchildren!A funny photo per the kid’s request! 😉
Then we walked down to the beach for some coastal family portraits! Those precious smiles! Brother sister hugs! These two cuties were too precious for words! What a gorgeous family, right!?
We ended our session with one last group family portrait by the shoreline!

Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park
On Monday, May 22nd, 2017, Andrew and I had the pleasure of documenting the Mukhatiyar family’s Singer Island family vacation memories! Their session took place at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. I love documenting family vacation portraits at this park because there are always a handful of gorgeous spots to choose from.
We began our session on the wooden deck that led directly to the beach. This wooden deck is surrounded by palm trees and many other beach plants. I love the tropical feel this spot gives. Then we moved on to the beach to one of my favorite spots! This beach is filled with flowy beachgrass and has an adorable wooden lifeguard stand. At sunset, the sun peeks through the grass and the palms in the background giving the most dreamy beach scene.
Afterward, we walked along the shoreline as Shane, their oldest son, gave the best expressions as he saw the waves approach his toes. He also tried everything in his power to dive into the water! This made for some great candid shots!
Lastly, we ended the session in, by far, the most unique part of this beach–the spot that gives this park the name, “Ocean Reef Park”–the coral rock formation on the edge of the shore. The waves crash against the rocks and the water splashes into the air, creating an incredible backdrop!
Mukhatiyar Family, thank you for choosing us to document your first trip to South Florida! It was our pleasure documenting your Singer Island family vacation! We hope to work with you again!
Aren’t they such a gorgeous family!? The photo below is my favorite shot from the entire shoot! His hair, those lips and his eyes looking straight at the camera! SO cute!!

A dreamy Singer Island beach wedding at the Town of Palm Beach Shores’ Community Center
On Saturday, August 20th, Andrew & I had the pleasure of capturing Robyn & Chuck’s Singer Island beach wedding at the Town of Palm Beach Shores’ Community Center. Their wedding was a seaside dream. After all, their wedding ceremony was held on the breezy beach under the crisp blue sky with a handful of gorgeous boats passing in the background.
The day began with the bridal party getting ready at Marriott’s Ocean Pointe hotel. This gorgeous hotel had coastal views of the beach and the Palm Beach Inlet. With tons of rich daylight pouring into the bridal suite we were able to capture some dreamy shots and bridal details.
Afterward, it was time for the wedding ceremony to begin. The ceremony was held on Singer Island beach overlooking the horizon; crashing waves and beautiful sailboats added to the scenic background. At first, there were only a few little white sailboats, but about halfway through the vows, a cruise ship emerged from the nearby port as well.
The ceremony was simply perfect. To go along with the beachy theme they performed a sand unity ceremony instead of a unity candle. I have witnessed a handful of these ceremonies performed before but Robyn and Chuck did it so beautifully. They each poured their sand in such unity that it formed a unique and special keepsake. Each tiny layer of sand fell so perfectly in sync with the others, symbolizing the union that was being joined together.
Robyn & Chuck:
Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of documenting your stunning Singer Island beach wedding! It was such an honor being a part of this momentous occasion! Andrew & I wish you all the best in this new season of your lives!
This was the funniest moment of the day!
Robyn’s brother, Josh caught the garter and so they decided to play a trick on him! They blindfolded him and then switched the person sitting in the chair! His dad took off his shoe, rolled up his pants and sat in the chair! Josh put on the garter on but knew something was up! He took off the blindfold only to find his dad with a garter around his leg!

A Palm Beach Inlet Engagement on Singer Island, Florida
On Thursday, August 4th, I had the pleasure of capturing Robyn and Chuck’s Palm Beach Inlet engagement photos. The Palm Beach Inlet is a dreamy coastal spot on the southern tip of Singer Island. This inlet was the place they shared their first date, where they spent many evenings together over the course of their 3-year relationship, and where he got down on one knee and asked her the question of a lifetime. With so many cherished memories it was no wonder this was the spot they wanted their engagement photos taken at.
Robyn and Chuck met three years ago and they both worked for Chick-fil-A. In 2013, after their first date at the Palm Beach Inlet, it quickly became ‘their spot’. They shared many dates there and then in 2015, it was where Chuck proposed. When I asked Robyn where she wanted to have her engagement photos taken at she knew right away that the Inlet was the perfect place — and it definitely was! I love when my couples pick a location that is special to them because it instantly tells a part of their unique love story.
Andrew and I met Robyn when we worked at Chick-fil-a a few years ago. We were all team leaders and became good friends. When Robyn and Chuck contacted us to document their wedding we were absolutely thrilled! We are so excited to celebrate with them on their big day!
Robyn and Chuck, thank you for allowing Andrew and I the pleasure of documenting your sweet love. We can’t wait to be a part of your wedding day! I hope you enjoy your engagement photos!
