On Thursday, April 26th, 2018, Andrew and I had the honor of working with the Mukhatiyar Family again during their vacation in Palm Beach, from Long Island, New York. Last year we had the pleasure of working with them and we enjoyed seeing them again! It was so fun to see how big the boys had grown in just a year!
This year we captured their family vacation photos on the elegant street of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. Their session took place in the westward parts of Worth Avenue. This sweet little family is too cute for words. We had such a wonderful time capturing their family vacation portraits again this year!
Mukhatiyar Family, thank you for choosing us to document your first and second trips to South Florida! It was our pleasure documenting your Worth Avenue family vacation portraits! We hope to work with you again!
Aren’t they just the cutest little family!? Having fun on the stairs. Cuties! Mommy and son. A few of my favorite silly moments!

West Palm Beach Family Vacation Photos at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island
On March 27th, 2018, Andrew and I had the pleasure of working with the Gier during their vacation to South Florida! This stunning family reached out to us to capture some new family portraits for their time on the beach! We had such a wonderful time capturing and working with this beautiful family!
Their West Palm Beach family vacation portraits were taken at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. It was a gorgeous afternoon, but also a very windy one. Battling the wind was a bit of a challenge, to say the least, but the splashing waves in the background made it all worth it! This family session may very well be a new favorite!
Gier Family, thank you so much for choosing us to document your family vacation memories! It was truly an honor meeting and working with you all! We hope to work with you again!

Meet little Clayton James, C.J. for short, my adorable godson! If you follow me on Instagram and Facebook, chances are you’ve seen his cuteness a few times! Although he has been in front of my camera many times since he was two weeks old, this is his first time debuting on the blog! He is ten-months-old today and I just can’t believe how big he is already! Here are a few of my favorite things about this little guy!
He calls me ‘Rina’ (well not just yet, but he will) which is short for Madrina–that’s godmother in Spanish and Italian. Since I am Cuban and I was in Italy when he was born, his mommy and I thought it was the perfect name! Andrew is his godfather and he goes by ‘Rino’ short for Padrino. My favorite thing is that even though Clayton can’t say our names yet, his parents/our best friends have been calling us those names since he was born.
His mommy and daddy are just the best parents this little guy could ask for! I believe that is the reason he truly is the happiest of babies! He rarely cries, he’s always smiling, he kicks his foot to the beat when he hears music playing and if he’s really feelin’ the beat he’ll even dance! Can you tell his parents are musicians or what!?
His signature style is classic like a proper gentlemen and you can often catch him sporting his go-to hat which is naturally featured in this shoot. His joyful little personality has been coming through for months now! He is very pensive, extremely observant and full of expressions. He also can recognize faces very well. If you’re familiar, he will throw himself into your arms, but if you’re new… not so much. He’ll maybe just pass along a friendly wave hello. And if you have a big scary beard be prepared for him to burst into tears! 😉
He has always been good at ‘cheesing-it-up’ on and off camera. Rina’s favorite little model! Now, I hope you enjoy our little impromptu ten-month portraits at Dubois Park in Jupiter, Florida!
Keep smiling, Clayton James, Rina loves you!
Those eyes! One of my favorite shots of the day! Flowers from mommy. Those two bottom teeth!! His favorite new trick…

On December 27th, 2017, I had the pleasure of capturing some dreamy Palm Beach family vacation portraits on Palm Beach Island. It was such a pleasure working with this gorgeous family! They were vacationing in Palm Beach for two weeks during Christmas and New Years break and decided to hire us to document their vacation memories.
The family met here in Palm Beach from all over the world. Some came from New York, New Jersey, California, Hawaii and some even came all the way from Brazil! It was such an honor meeting and working with this large family during their family vacation!
One of my favorite parts of their session was at the very end. The sun was setting and the sky became filled with dreamy pastel colors. We decided to end the session with a jumping shot. I was skeptical that it would work with fifteen people but I was excited to try it. So we did and it turned out to be amazing! It easily became my one of my favorite shots of the day!
These last few shots were my favorites! The sky that evening was incredible!

Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Beach
On Tuesday, August 22nd, Andrew and I had the pleasure of capturing the Chua family’s Singer Island family vacation portraits. They were vacationing on Singer Island all the way from Canada!
Where do I begin with this family? They might have been the sweetest family we have ever worked with! Not only were they always ready for the camera, looking picture perfect, but they also brought us the sweetest gift of organic maple syrup from Canada! How sweet is that!? I seriously love my “job”!
Their session took place at Ocean Reef Beach & Park on a breezy afternoon. The tide was high and the waves were crashing into the rocky shore. It was a gorgeous day to capture photos at this beach.
Chua family, Thank you so much for allowing Andrew and I the pleasure of documenting your South Florida vacation memories! You all were a wonderful to work with and we hope you enjoy your vacation portraits! Thanks again for the delicious maple syrup!
We started by capturing a few quick portraits on the deck that leads to the beach. The light was too dreamy not to! Then we headed to my favorite part of the beach–the coral rock! His smiles were the best. Momma with her kiddos. How cute are they!? Those smiles! Check out the way the waves were crashing against the rocks! One of my favorites! How sweet is this shot!? These crashing waves were just awesome! Another favorite! Our session ended overlooking this dreamy pastel sky!
Chua family, thank you so much again for choosing Crystal Bolin Photography to capture your Singer Island family vacation portraits! We hope to work with you all again!

Palm Beach Family Portraits at Bethesda by the Sea
On Saturday, August 19th, Andrew and I had the pleasure of capturing the Carter’s Palm Beach family portraits! The Carters have been our dear friends for nearly a decade and in April of this year, they added a new member to their family–Clayton James! He is such a joyful baby and they are the cutest family! You might remember their Christmas portraits from last year when Brooke was rockin’ a cute bump! Now C.J. is here and we were honored to capture their first family portraits!
When Frank and Brooke asked us to be C.J.’s godparents we were, and still are, so honored! He is such a fun little one and we love this excuse to spoil him a bit! I think he already knows that when he comes to Rina & Rino’s (our official nicknames) house my camera is bound to come out and he smiles for me almost everytime!
If you’re wondering how our nicknames came about… Well, Brooke and I came up with them because they are short for madrina and padrino which is the name for godmother and godfather in Spanish and Italian. Since I am Cuban, speak Spanish and we were in Italy when he was born we thought the names were fitting! Plus it’s fun to have a unique nickname! Now let’s see if C.J. actually uses it when the day comes!
Frank and Brooke, thank you for being our dear friends! Watching you both step into this new season as parents has been such a joy and privilege to witness! You both are amazing parents!! We are so thankful for you guys and we hope you enjoy your first family portraits with C.J.!
Bethesda by the Sea
Our session began at Bethesda by the Sea in Palm Beach, FloridaThe first set of smiles from C.J.
After capturing a handful of lifestyle family portraits at Bethesda by the Sea, we hopped in the car and just drove North until we found our next location! The first set of photos brought out my favorite smile from C.J.
The look on his face in this next one was like, “Uhh Rina, why are you in the bushes?” LOL.
But this location though!!
When my crazy ideas turn into something like this… How amazing are these?! Possibly my favorites! Our session ended with glowy golden light at this gorgeous spot!

Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park
On Monday, May 22nd, 2017, Andrew and I had the pleasure of documenting the Mukhatiyar family’s Singer Island family vacation memories! Their session took place at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. I love documenting family vacation portraits at this park because there are always a handful of gorgeous spots to choose from.
We began our session on the wooden deck that led directly to the beach. This wooden deck is surrounded by palm trees and many other beach plants. I love the tropical feel this spot gives. Then we moved on to the beach to one of my favorite spots! This beach is filled with flowy beachgrass and has an adorable wooden lifeguard stand. At sunset, the sun peeks through the grass and the palms in the background giving the most dreamy beach scene.
Afterward, we walked along the shoreline as Shane, their oldest son, gave the best expressions as he saw the waves approach his toes. He also tried everything in his power to dive into the water! This made for some great candid shots!
Lastly, we ended the session in, by far, the most unique part of this beach–the spot that gives this park the name, “Ocean Reef Park”–the coral rock formation on the edge of the shore. The waves crash against the rocks and the water splashes into the air, creating an incredible backdrop!
Mukhatiyar Family, thank you for choosing us to document your first trip to South Florida! It was our pleasure documenting your Singer Island family vacation! We hope to work with you again!
Aren’t they such a gorgeous family!? The photo below is my favorite shot from the entire shoot! His hair, those lips and his eyes looking straight at the camera! SO cute!!

Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park & Beach
On Monday, August 1st, I had the pleasure of capturing Justin & Mary’s Singer Island family vacation portraits at Ocean Reef Park & Beach. While visiting Singer Island during their vacation, Mary hired us to capture some family vacation memories. Justin, Mary and their daughter enjoy vacationing in Singer Island so much that they have spent past Summers in Singer Island. Working with them was such a pleasure!
Since Justin and Mary were staying at the Palm Beach Marriott in Singer Island they decided to have their photos taken at Ocean Reef Park & Beach which is just next door to the Marriott. This park and beach is the perfect location for Singer Island portraits because of the wide range of beach scenes. There are a handful of gorgeous diverse spots that make for some unique Singer Island portraits. The reason this beach is unique is because of its rocky shoreline. This is one of my favorite spots at this beach because as the tide rises, the waves crash into the rocks and water splashes into the air creating an incredible backdrop.
We started the session in the grassy area in the Westward part of the park. The sun was setting in the background, creating dreamy golden-hour light. Ocean Reef Park has some rustic wooden lifeguard stands that add to the charm of this beach. Afterwards, we moved towards the beach capturing some classic beach portraits. We ended the shoot at the rocky area of the beach right as the sun was setting. We had a sendoff of waves splashing over 8 feet in the air! The perfect way to end this gorgeous vacation shoot.
Justin and Mary, thank you so much for allowing Andrew and I the pleasure of documenting your family’s vacation memories. Your family was a joy to work with! I hope our paths cross again in the future.

On Friday, April 1st, I had the pleasure of capturing the joyful Mallare family in Palm Beach, Florida. It was a beautiful day; a cool breeze, fluffy clouds, and a stunning ocean view. It was the perfect backdrop for this lifestyle family photo shoot. They even brought their adorable pup, Jeter! Hope you enjoy this Palm Beach family portrait session!
On December 12th, I had the pleasure of capturing the Donaldson family’s Christmas portraits on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. I have been capturing this sweet family since their son, Karl was months old. It has been such an honor to document this sweet family’s story. The family chose Worth Avenue because of the gigantic Christmas tree that stands in the heart of the street. The kids were very excited to see the huge Christmas tree, but mom and dad were too because they had special memories here. They had walked Worth Avenue and taken pictures in front of the very same tree five years prior when Jennifer was pregnant with Karl. Looking back, on the past five years I have had the privilege to watch this family grow and it has been such a beautiful story to witness and document.
The Donaldson family’s Worth Avenue Family Christmas Portraits were so joyful and fun to capture. Jennifer and Bruce thank you for allowing me the pleasure of capturing your beautiful family’s Christmas portraits.
