On Thursday, April 26th, 2018, Andrew and I had the honor of working with the Mukhatiyar Family again during their vacation in Palm Beach, from Long Island, New York. Last year we had the pleasure of working with them and we enjoyed seeing them again! It was so fun to see how big the boys had grown in just a year!
This year we captured their family vacation photos on the elegant street of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida. Their session took place in the westward parts of Worth Avenue. This sweet little family is too cute for words. We had such a wonderful time capturing their family vacation portraits again this year!
Mukhatiyar Family, thank you for choosing us to document your first and second trips to South Florida! It was our pleasure documenting your Worth Avenue family vacation portraits! We hope to work with you again!
Aren’t they just the cutest little family!? Having fun on the stairs. Cuties! Mommy and son. A few of my favorite silly moments!

West Palm Beach Family Vacation Photos at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island
On March 27th, 2018, Andrew and I had the pleasure of working with the Gier during their vacation to South Florida! This stunning family reached out to us to capture some new family portraits for their time on the beach! We had such a wonderful time capturing and working with this beautiful family!
Their West Palm Beach family vacation portraits were taken at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. It was a gorgeous afternoon, but also a very windy one. Battling the wind was a bit of a challenge, to say the least, but the splashing waves in the background made it all worth it! This family session may very well be a new favorite!
Gier Family, thank you so much for choosing us to document your family vacation memories! It was truly an honor meeting and working with you all! We hope to work with you again!

If there is one thing I love it’s capturing gorgeous families while enjoying their vacation! Capturing family memories is such an honor to me because these are the moments my clients will look back on and the photos I capture will become precious, tangible memories they will hold onto for many years to come.
These past few years I have noticed vacation photos are becoming more and more popular! Last year alone we captured over a half a dozen family vacation sessions! This year we are hoping to exceed last year and we are off to a great start!
On January 20th, 2018, we had the honor of capturing these family vacation portraits in Palm Beach, Florida. This was our first session of the year! It was a very cloudy and windy day but the lighting was gorgeous! Early that day there was a Trump protest but by the afternoon there was hardly anyone on the beach!
It was such a pleasure working with this sweet family! We hope they enjoy their family portraits for many years to come!

On December 27th, 2017, I had the pleasure of capturing some dreamy Palm Beach family vacation portraits on Palm Beach Island. It was such a pleasure working with this gorgeous family! They were vacationing in Palm Beach for two weeks during Christmas and New Years break and decided to hire us to document their vacation memories.
The family met here in Palm Beach from all over the world. Some came from New York, New Jersey, California, Hawaii and some even came all the way from Brazil! It was such an honor meeting and working with this large family during their family vacation!
One of my favorite parts of their session was at the very end. The sun was setting and the sky became filled with dreamy pastel colors. We decided to end the session with a jumping shot. I was skeptical that it would work with fifteen people but I was excited to try it. So we did and it turned out to be amazing! It easily became my one of my favorite shots of the day!
These last few shots were my favorites! The sky that evening was incredible!

Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Beach
On Tuesday, August 22nd, Andrew and I had the pleasure of capturing the Chua family’s Singer Island family vacation portraits. They were vacationing on Singer Island all the way from Canada!
Where do I begin with this family? They might have been the sweetest family we have ever worked with! Not only were they always ready for the camera, looking picture perfect, but they also brought us the sweetest gift of organic maple syrup from Canada! How sweet is that!? I seriously love my “job”!
Their session took place at Ocean Reef Beach & Park on a breezy afternoon. The tide was high and the waves were crashing into the rocky shore. It was a gorgeous day to capture photos at this beach.
Chua family, Thank you so much for allowing Andrew and I the pleasure of documenting your South Florida vacation memories! You all were a wonderful to work with and we hope you enjoy your vacation portraits! Thanks again for the delicious maple syrup!
We started by capturing a few quick portraits on the deck that leads to the beach. The light was too dreamy not to! Then we headed to my favorite part of the beach–the coral rock! His smiles were the best. Momma with her kiddos. How cute are they!? Those smiles! Check out the way the waves were crashing against the rocks! One of my favorites! How sweet is this shot!? These crashing waves were just awesome! Another favorite! Our session ended overlooking this dreamy pastel sky!
Chua family, thank you so much again for choosing Crystal Bolin Photography to capture your Singer Island family vacation portraits! We hope to work with you all again!

South Florida Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island
On Tuesday, July 18th, 2017, we had the pleasure of capturing some family portraits of the Parks family while vacationing in South Florida! Their South Florida family vacation portraits took place on a bit of a stormy day at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. The Weather Channel said there would be clear skies but storm clouds were definitely coming. This weather, however, made for some amazing beach photos! The light was incredible and this may be my favorite family portrait shoot to date!
We started our session with a few portraits on the boardwalk that leads to Ocean Reef Beach. Then we walked down to the beach for a few more portraits in this rustic beach scene. How cute is he!? Walks on the beach with mommy and daddy.
So much love! One of my favorites! Those curls and that smile. Such a cutie pie. Because riding on daddy shoulders is the best. Another plus of having a portrait session on a stormy week day… the beach was completely empty! Then we captured a few more family portraits by the coral rocks on Ocean Reef Beach! This is my favorite part of this beach! Discovering the beach. Experiencing feet sinking in the sand! The best option to get your foot out of the sand? Sit in the wet sand and pull it out! 😉“Mommy, what is this stuff and why won’t it come off?” He didn’t want to let go of mommy! Because mommy and daddy always deserve a few portraits of just them together! Ocean Reef Beach was absolutely gorgeous this day! Snuggles with mommy! Laughing with daddy! We ended our session with giggles and smiles!

Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island
On Friday, July 14th, we had the pleasure of capturing some vacation portraits for a darling family! Their session took place at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. Part of the family lives in Texas and the other in Ohio but they decided to meet in South Florida to share a family vacation! They stayed at the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa which is actually right next door to Ocean Reef Park! We had a wonderful time working with this family and we hope you enjoy their tropical South Florida portrait session!
First, we started with some portraits on the deck before heading to the beach! Grandparents with their five grandchildren!A funny photo per the kid’s request! 😉
Then we walked down to the beach for some coastal family portraits! Those precious smiles! Brother sister hugs! These two cuties were too precious for words! What a gorgeous family, right!?
We ended our session with one last group family portrait by the shoreline!

Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park
On Monday, May 22nd, 2017, Andrew and I had the pleasure of documenting the Mukhatiyar family’s Singer Island family vacation memories! Their session took place at Ocean Reef Park on Singer Island. I love documenting family vacation portraits at this park because there are always a handful of gorgeous spots to choose from.
We began our session on the wooden deck that led directly to the beach. This wooden deck is surrounded by palm trees and many other beach plants. I love the tropical feel this spot gives. Then we moved on to the beach to one of my favorite spots! This beach is filled with flowy beachgrass and has an adorable wooden lifeguard stand. At sunset, the sun peeks through the grass and the palms in the background giving the most dreamy beach scene.
Afterward, we walked along the shoreline as Shane, their oldest son, gave the best expressions as he saw the waves approach his toes. He also tried everything in his power to dive into the water! This made for some great candid shots!
Lastly, we ended the session in, by far, the most unique part of this beach–the spot that gives this park the name, “Ocean Reef Park”–the coral rock formation on the edge of the shore. The waves crash against the rocks and the water splashes into the air, creating an incredible backdrop!
Mukhatiyar Family, thank you for choosing us to document your first trip to South Florida! It was our pleasure documenting your Singer Island family vacation! We hope to work with you again!
Aren’t they such a gorgeous family!? The photo below is my favorite shot from the entire shoot! His hair, those lips and his eyes looking straight at the camera! SO cute!!

Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits at Ocean Reef Park & Beach
On Monday, August 1st, I had the pleasure of capturing Justin & Mary’s Singer Island family vacation portraits at Ocean Reef Park & Beach. While visiting Singer Island during their vacation, Mary hired us to capture some family vacation memories. Justin, Mary and their daughter enjoy vacationing in Singer Island so much that they have spent past Summers in Singer Island. Working with them was such a pleasure!
Since Justin and Mary were staying at the Palm Beach Marriott in Singer Island they decided to have their photos taken at Ocean Reef Park & Beach which is just next door to the Marriott. This park and beach is the perfect location for Singer Island portraits because of the wide range of beach scenes. There are a handful of gorgeous diverse spots that make for some unique Singer Island portraits. The reason this beach is unique is because of its rocky shoreline. This is one of my favorite spots at this beach because as the tide rises, the waves crash into the rocks and water splashes into the air creating an incredible backdrop.
We started the session in the grassy area in the Westward part of the park. The sun was setting in the background, creating dreamy golden-hour light. Ocean Reef Park has some rustic wooden lifeguard stands that add to the charm of this beach. Afterwards, we moved towards the beach capturing some classic beach portraits. We ended the shoot at the rocky area of the beach right as the sun was setting. We had a sendoff of waves splashing over 8 feet in the air! The perfect way to end this gorgeous vacation shoot.
Justin and Mary, thank you so much for allowing Andrew and I the pleasure of documenting your family’s vacation memories. Your family was a joy to work with! I hope our paths cross again in the future.
Details about these Singer Island Family Vacation Portraits:
As some of you may know, most of Andrew’s family lives in Ohio. So sometimes it makes things hard but we always try to make the big moments. This year Andrew’s baby sister graduated from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. This was definitely one moment we weren’t going to miss! We are so proud of her and all her hard work these past four years!
As an added bonus we got to finally meet Andrew’s older brother’s 3-week-old baby girl, Emerson! Andrew and I were so excited to meet our niece and were even more thrilled when we found out that she was going to be dedicated in church that Sunday! She is just the most precious little girl and has some of the funniest expressions! When Andrew held her she looked at him with the weirdest gaze. Almost like she knew he looked familiar but was still keeping a close and intense watch on him! LOL!
We also had one more celebration during this trip: Andrew’s birthday! I know this was one of the best birthdays he has had in a while because he was with his family! Since Andrew’s family moved to Ohio nearly 8 years ago he hasn’t been able to spend many of his birthday’s with them. So this was a good one!
This trip was a special one for many reasons! I was even able to see and spend some time with my own baby sister who recently got married and moved four hours away! She is best friends with Andrew’s sister so she wasn’t going to miss the graduation either!
Overall this was a wonderful trip to relax and hang out with family! I took this time to take a break from the busy season and relax. I didn’t even bring my highest grade camera. Just my Fujifilm x100 and my iPhone! 🙂 If it wasn’t for the fact that it was below 50 degrees the entire time then it probably would have been a perfect trip!! My sister and I with our South Florida blood were not prepared for how cold it was in mid-MAY and nearly turned into popsicles!! 😉
Till next time Ohio!
This amazing confetti was so beautiful to capture but it shot out of these canon-like things on the stage and scared many people because they were so loud! I personally jumped and may have shouted a bit! lol The Bolin family plus my sister!! 😉 Andrew standing proudly with his newly graduated baby sister Amber! Meeting Emerson for the first time! Sunday morning we made our way to a little town called Waverly to see sweet Emerson get dedicated. The two-hour car ride was gorgeous!! I got some Tim Hortons coffee!! 😀Really loved this cool building! After church, we gathered at Andrew’s brother’s in-laws home for a BBQ!
Monday the 16th was Andrew’s 25th birthday! We started the day with breakfast at a lively spot called Sugar n’ Spice! This place has been around since 1941! It has super yummy food and a really cool atmosphere! If you are visiting Cincinnati this is a great place to check out but make sure to give yourself time or go on a weekday because it gets very busy!! We went on a Monday morning and had to sit at the bar because it was pretty full! But they let you choose a cute little rubber ducky on your way out! Haha! After breakfast, we went to a local park called Ault park! But this wasn’t just any park, this place was so gorgeous! An incredible view, a stunning wedding venue on a hill and a colorful garden!Check out this view! Yup, that’s me in sandals. Somehow I’m never prepared in the shoe department on trips…Warm hugs because it was so cold! Andrew just looks comfortable but in reality, he freezing. He said he wouldn’t need to bring a jacket to Ohio in MAY! 😉So much gorgeousness everywhere and this is the moment my camera battery decides to die. Thankful for beautiful iPhone pictures! 🙂So many beautiful flowers!! One of the last pictures I was able to squeeze in before my Fujifilm x100 battery died! But it’s my favorite! Love the colors and bokeh this little camera produces! After the park, we went to an adorable ice cream and candy shop called Aglamesis Bro’s! They had been around since 1908 and their ice cream and gummy bears are delicious! Their story is quite interesting, you can read about it here. How cute is this place!?Love these exotic Tiffany lamps!
My coconut ice cream in a crispy waffle cone! So yummy!!This little shop is packed with so much charm and history. After some delicious ice cream, we went shopping in downtown Cincinnati! Then we made one more stop before heading to the airport! A coffee stop!! We hung out at Rohs Street Cafe playing some cards (“Three to thirteen”… and I won! :D) and sipping on coffee. Then it was time to say goodbye and head to the airport. This was a great trip! Short but packed with celebrations and fun! Till next time Ohio!
