Every year I visit Fort Myers Beach for a family reunion with my dad’s entire side of the family! This annual vacation has been a tradition since before I was even born! My dad is one of six kids and in the 1980’s my grandfather decided to buy a timeshare in Fort Myers and make this an annual family vacation. Over the years the family has grown three times the size. With five spouses and ten grandchildren our family trips are always filled will lots of fun!
Sunday, the 10th of July, was the last day we had to enjoy the sunset and so two of my aunts requested sunset portraits! The first shoot was for my aunt Elisa for her and my uncle’s 10th wedding anniversary! It was featured earlier this week and can be viewed here. The second shoot was for my aunt Grace and uncle Elio. This was a mini shoot right before the sun set! The light was super dreamy and the sky was full of colorful!
Grace and Elio’s shoot features the gorgeous seashore of Bowditch Point Park on the North end of Fort Myers Beach. This park is the perfect spot at sunset because it is almost like the sun caresses the shore. The light is out of this world and just so magical! It was simply breathtaking.

Fort Myers Beach Anniversary & Family portraits at Bowditch Point Park in Estero Island
On Sunday, July 10th during our annual family trip to Fort Myers Beach, I had the honor of capturing my aunt and uncle’s 10th wedding anniversary portraits! Their Fort Myers Beach anniversary shoot was captured at the Bowditch Point Park on the North end of Estero Island. They decided to include their two sweet kiddos and they may have stolen the show with their cuteness!
Every year since the 1980’s my dad’s side of the family spends a week in Fort Myers Beach. Even as the family grows bigger and bigger it’s one of those trips everyone still tries to make and it’s always a special time. This year Andrew and I were only able to go for a few days but in those few days, we were able to have some fun capturing three stunning sunset sessions on the beach!
This was our second shoot during the trip and it was a very special one! My aunt and uncle were celebrating 10 years of marriage and asked me to capture some photos while we were there! This was such an honor because my aunt is also a photographer and my uncle is a graphic designer. Both of them have inspired me and helped me in so many ways to become the photographer and business owner I am today.
My aunt has been such an important part of my life. She has always believed in me and always encouraged me to follow my dreams. Without her, I wouldn’t be the photographer I am today and I am so thankful for her!

A Dreamy Fort Myers Engagement on a Summer Afternoon
On Saturday, July 9th I had the pleasure of capturing Gyles and Lindsay’s Fort Myers engagement shoot! Every year my dad’s entire family spends a week on the West Coast soaking up the sunshine, laying on the beach and spending quality time with each other. This has been a tradition since the 1980’s! Lindsay and Gyles live on the West Coast and pretty close to Fort Myers! So when Lindsay and Gyles booked us to capture their wedding I knew this would be the perfect time to capture their engagement photos!
Lindsay has been a bridesmaid in three of my weddings and Gyles has also been a groomsman in one! One of my favorite thing about my job is being able to capture a group of friends’ weddings! Every time I capture another wedding it’s like a family reunion! So working with them was like working with a long time friend! They will be saying “I do” this October in on the West Coast and I am so excited!
About their engagement shoot
Lindsay and Gyles’ engagement shoot began on the main beach of Fort Myers. The iconic Fort Myers Pier set the perfect backdrop for this Fort Myers engagement shoot! An hour before our shoot it poured for a solid hour but cleared up just in time for our shoot! Because the rain had just cleared the beach was clear of people too!!
After we got some classic Fort Myers shots we began to move onto the second location, but right before we reached the car I spotted an amazing spot behind a tropical motel called the Shipwreck Motel! This colorful waterfront hotel was surrounded by tropical trees and was filled with yummy light!
The second (that ended up being the third) location was Bowditch Point Park and Beach! This is an absolutely stunning spot on Estero Island. It is on the Northern tip of the island so at sunset, it has a magical glowy beach scene. This Fort Myers engagement shoot was so dreamy!
Lindsay and Gyles, thank you so much for having fun with us in Fort Myers! Andrew and I are so excited to document your wedding day!
